Powered Industrial Truck Instructor Program 1500.01
The program is designed to meet the OSHA powered industrial truck training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.178. The first part of the program includes classroom work on the basic principles, operations of industrial trucks such as forklifts and powered pallet jacks, and an examination. The second part of the training includes on-site hands-on training in pre-operation checks, and proper operation of the equipment. Classroom instruction begins at 8:00 a.m.
The instructor program includes 6-hours of classroom instruction on the basic principles and operations of powered industrial trucks (such as forklifts and powered pallet jacks), a review of the OSHA training requirements, and an extensive written examination.
After successfully completing the classroom instruction, an On-site Instructor Evaluation can be conducted. The on-site instruction will demonstrate how to conduct an operator evaluation to insure that employees will be able to safely operate the equipment.
Upon completion, participants receive a printable copy of the operator training workbook to use for in-house training, a QSSI Certificate of Completion, and a laminated training certification card.
