40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Workshop 29 CFR 1910.120 *3120.01* Designed for general site workers, operators, and supervisory personnel engaged in hazardous substance removal or other activities at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. The workshop meets the 40 hour HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e). EPA and Department of Transportation requirements are also discussed. Participants receive a current 2004 Emergency Response Guidebook, and a manual containing a current copy of the 29 CFR 1910.120 standard, complete lesson plans, and other information The program includes participation in hazardous waste decontamination and spill scenarios, use of a chemical suit and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), a respirator fit test, and safety training in Hydrogen Sulfide. Upon completion, participants receive a QSSI Certificate of Completion, and laminated training certification cards for the 40 hour HAZWOPER Workshop and Hydrogen Sulfide training.
