4-Day Technician Level Terrorist Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Workshop *5000.01* Designed for individuals who must respond to the release, or potential release, of a terrorist nuclear, biological, or chemical agent for the purpose of containing or stopping the release. The workshop will cover: chemical and biological agents, radioactive materials, hands-on use of individual detection devices, hazard assessment, chemical downwind analysis and plotting, personal protective equipment, and the principles of decontamination. The workshop will include exercises in plotting a release, and a hands-on exercise for setting up a decontamination station for both responders and victims. Each student will receive a textbook on responding to terrorist releases, a current copy of the 2004 Emergency Response Guidebook, and a manual that contains complete lesson plans and other pertinent information. Upon completion, a QSSI Certificate of Completion and a laminated certification of training card will be issued.
